Our team has pushed the baking boat out for Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning 2019.
We followed Macmillan Cancer Support’s encouragement to “bake it or fake it” with an office cake sale for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning today (Friday 27th September).
Proceeds from the event will go towards helping Macmillan provide physical, financial and emotional support for those living with cancer.
To add an element of competition, all cakes brought in will be judged by Partner, Stephen Castleman and best baker will win the official Macmillan Coffee Morning apron!
Stephen Castleman said: “We are proud to have supported the Macmillan Coffee morning annually for several years and we aim to beat our office record each time around. As a company we consider it our responsibility to do our bit for charity and, with the help of Macmillan’s Coffee Kit, this week’s cake sale proved as popular as ever.”
First held nationwide in 1991, the Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest and most high-profile fundraising event, as well as the longest-running annual charity fundraising event in the UK. Last year’s event raised £26.9m, taking the Coffee Morning total to over £200m raised to date for Macmillan.
