I joined Newby Castleman in September 2007 after graduating with first class honours in Maths. I was pleased to be offered a position at the firm, as I was well aware of its good reputation and wide range of clients. With a lot of hard work and dedication, together with the training provided by the firm, I qualified as a chartered accountant in July 2010 and it doesn’t seem five minutes since I received my offer for a training contract.
Passing all my exams first time and being awarded the regional prize in three of the nine written exams rewarded my hard work.
Newby Castleman have a broad portfolio of clients, which means I have been given a wide range of experience including audits, accounts preparation, preparation of management accounts and tax computations.
There have always been regular social events at the firm. The recent introduction of a social committee will add to this; social events are inevitably going to become more frequent which is definitely a good thing.
I really enjoy working at Newby Castleman, as there is a good atmosphere amongst the staff and the firms re-branding has made you feel part of a new exciting, dynamic future.
